PUSH RESTART Book Chat and Reading, 30 minutes
In this interactive Storytime, we chat about our big feelings and what we do when we have those feelings. As I read, the children become detectives (spying rhyming words and making emotional connections). Chanting the refrain of PUSH RESTART is always a highlight! Chats can be customized depending on the age group and if there is a certain focus that has been requested.

HOW A BOOK IS MADE Presentation, 60 minutes
This is an interactive brainstorming session about where ideas come from as we chat about the creative process of writing. Generally for young writers ages 8 - 12 but could be tailored for the teen/young adult crowd or even adults interested in brainstorming and storyboarding techniques. Participants are encouraged to enjoy the creative process and to not be afraid to make mistakes and embrace the inherent messiness of the process. Slides include interactive elements, including brainstorming and a storyboarding exercise. My presentation empowers writers to use their personal experiences and interests to help craft their unique story plan!
